With their rich four-part harmonies, stripped-back acoustic arrangements and ingenious mashups that put a surprising twist on forgotten classics, Three and a Half men have a knack for making every song their own – whether it’s Smokey Robinson’s The Tracks of My Tears, Rihanna’s We Found Love or Wheatus’ Teenage Dirtbag. All graduates of Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, these four talented singers and instrumentalists have played for Poppy Delevigne and Jo Malone – as well as performing at the Monaco Grand Prix for Red Bull Racing, in their own right. From sixties soul to mainstream pop to indie rock, these four cheeky chappies have something up their sleeves to charm everyone.

Frontman J’s silky vocals are perfectly complimented by keyboard, bass and gentle percussion. Aside from their GQ looks, this talented quartet are also some the finest session musicians in the country, and it shows. With their selection of mellow grooves and their laid back vibe, these four finely groomed gents are the ideal background band for wedding receptions, summer garden parties and other intimate gatherings.

songbird Angela Ricci’s sound is jazz & blues with a 21st century twist

After studying at the Conservatoire of Verona and graduating from Goldsmiths University, songbird Angela Ricci has performed with the likes of Kelis, Rita Ora and The Heavy. Now, after several of her videos went viral, Angela is making a name for herself with performances at London’s legendary Jazz Café (supporting MOBO award-winning artist Yolanda Brown), The Arts Club, Mondrian Hotel and Sky Garden. Outside of the UK, she’s also performed at the Jazz Club of Turin and Africa Fashion week. Influenced by the likes of Nina Simone and Ray Charles, Angela and her quartet bring a jazz and blues sensibility to modern pop songs – from Sam Sparro’s Black and Gold to Estelle's American Boy.

As an artist in her own right, the classically-trained, multi-talented, award-winning Kate Threlfall regularly performs solo at her piano, playing and singing everything from classical to soul, jazz and r&b to pop. She has been featured on both Jazz FM and BBC Manchester, and won Jazz Radio’s Best Vocalist Award in 2010. Together, Kate and her quartet – including full double bass, acoustic guitar, gentle percussion and backing vocals from the Beaney Brothers – have residencies at London’s The Arts Club, Mondrian Hotel and Sushi Samba. With their sweet three part-harmonies and stripped-back arrangements, they perform a breezy setlist that includes everything from classic soul hits like Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely, to more modern day fare like Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud and Ella Henderson’s Ghost

Detroit take you back to the 1960s, when Motown artists like Marvin Gaye, Martha and the Vandellas and The Supremes brought the Detroit Sound to the world stage. With their two velvet-voiced lead singers, gorgeous four-part harmonies and pared-down acoustic arrangements for just piano, guitar and gentle percussion, Detroit’s soulful, mellow sound is perfectly suited to smaller, more intimate gatherings and spaces. Between them, their two lead singers have performed alongside such international superstars as Adele, Jason Derulo and Groove Armada – and their live band are among the finest session musicians in the country. Looking elegant in black and white, the band perform a selection of timeless soul classics, with style – from Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing to I Say A Little Prayer.

Barberpop are a brilliant roaming band – performing unplugged arrangements of everything from Don’t Stop Believing to This is How We Do It as they mingle through the crowd, serenading your guests in their seats and at their tables. These four cheeky chappies regularly entertain the diners at Kensington’s trendy restaurant Bodo’s Schloss. Together, they’ve totally reinvented barbershop for the 21st century with their beatboxing skills and acoustic guitars (minus the clichéd candy stripe suits, straw hats and sugary songs). With Gaz Twist’s soaring rock vocals and Billy Boothroyd’s soulful sensibilities, Barberpop, tackle everything from classic 70s rock hits to modern day pop anthems in their own unique style.

Channeling the likes of Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn, jazz chanteuse Ruby Wood is the quintessential smoky-voiced nightclub singer. She honed her craft performing up and down the country with the Bonobo’s live band in 2011 – and with the critically-acclaimed dubstep & soul group Submotion Orchestra, who’ve performed at festivals including The Big Chill, Latitude, Outlook and Bestival. Between them, the musicians in her band have played for the likes of singer/songwriter Lily Allen and Hurts. Now, Ruby and her jazz quartet – with piano, bass and gentle percussion – perform fresh interpretations of everything from Ray Charles’ Georgia On My Mind to Justin Timberlake’s SexyBack in their own sultry, simmering style.

A graduate of the Academy of Contemporary Arts, Kirsten appeared on the Voice in 2012, and was described by Jesse J as one of the best singers in the country. She has since gone on to perform with the likes of Beverley Knight, Gary Barlow and Ronan Keating and is regarded as one of the leading session performers in the UK.
